Saturday was another great day at the Pikes Peak Writers’ Conference. There were about 250 people from all over the United States attending the conference. Workshops were led by accomplished people. Some are successful authors. Some are literary agents, others are editors and some are experts at promoting books.
The thing I like best about the conference is that it brings in people from every level. My guess is that half of the people have not published any works yet. Some are working on novels, some short stories, some magazine articles. Writers from every genre are there to help one another out. Some people were able to pitch their book to agents. Some got feedback on a piece of their writing.
If anyone out there even dreams of writing, I highly recommend the conference. It is an annual event, held in Colorado Springs every spring.
Last night, our dinner keynote speaker was Robert Crais, a very successful author of crime novels. Funny guy. Captivating speech. Inspirational.
